When you die

You stare down at me from my wall

Your voice in my head is a discomfort of

Extreme prejudice against my heart

For I never met you

There is a space in the

Furniture where you sit

And wearily see if I can do

Any better than you.

I will be then and now

There and then

The only one who

Is not here when you die.
