blistering the air around
you
it took some time for me
to recover when all of a sudden
I lost my cool
and responded with deftly
aimed punches
at your frontal spine
which shook with bereft leaves
as I tore you out
of your broken sleeved cover
and showed you the news
that I would recover
you with somnolence
and love.
