At the End of the World
I’m told you are waiting for me Anne
at a place that no one can see
where the dunes are gold
and the earth is red
for the people to send
their use to its fend
I wonder what the rook is doing
while the King and Queen
lie in bed
what is it that makes it all
seem like the real time of goodness
is not here but where there is wood and trees
and time to sorrow and glee
for me
it is about the rights of all
to fall
and love again for the morrow
is about joy and reaping the slave’s inner
being from the right of all to work
and not plead for forgiveness when
they are not ale to make all the fools
in the world see the end of the world
is here
at my side.
