The way that he walks

The love of a stranger takes no one into

the sides of relations where the body and soul

need to be festered with the use of arms

that make holding much

more the end than the means

of adjusting to the degree

of longing for human touch

where there has been none

for so long to make it

everybody’s time of day

when no people try to call

their easy listening to the pleasure

of all.

I hold you, you hold me

and there is nothing

to do except know that in the end

all the times we have taken to share love

do not bring forth

the juniper nor farrow the soil

like we need more that life

itself.

It’s just the way that he walks

said Mandela

he walks on water across plains

of azure seas and uses the fault lines

to see where the useful measures of time

take place.
